aabout studio vi and vinayak thanvi

Vi was born and raised in India, currently lives in Ubud, Bali and has no formal education in art and design. He has a penchant to nudge and design found objects and materials in the form of sculptural furniture, art objects and installations. His works revolves around conversations between the old and new that’s where he seeks meaning and harmony in his work. 

 

Vi started his studio over a decade ago and has been working on high end residences and hospitality projects in India, Fiji, Dubai and US with a focus on product design, art objects and installations.

I like to curate empty spaces to create emptiness, it instigates a sense of focus on what is important and truly connects with us. In emptiness you can even fold the sky the way you want to. 

 

It’s a space where you can explore simplicity of thought and design. The outcomes often transcends time and prejudices of all kind.
